Andreas Faistenberger
St. Andrew

Circa 1710
Church of St. Peter, Munich, Germany

The X-shaped "cross saltire" is St. Andrew's attribute in late-medieval and later images, and he is often shown with a book. The beard is forked as always, but it is longer than we see in most medieval images, and the hair is neater.
